Had a loan off and on with them for years! Fell behind on my loan when my MIL unexpectedly died during routine surgery. Called and asked if I could do a smaller payment plan since I was out of work and they said no. So I stopped paying cause I couldn't afford it. A couple months later I tried to call and catch up they said my account was closed and I wasn't their problem any more. Every month for 2 years now they have left messages on my credit score even know my account is closed and today I got a bill in the mail wanting t... read more

I am appalled. I've never even heard of this company before and they sent me a live check through the mail for $915. When I called the branch to complain she told me that many people have complained and some have even been illegally cashed by folks that they weren't addressed to. This can't be legal. If this is how the company has to drum up money they should just go out of business, I hope the people who own this place don't have children because they would be teaching them awful morals

Business response:

Thank you for your feedback. We have been doing business in Texas and meeting consumer financial needs in its communities for over 50 years, and each of our branches holds a Chapter 342-F regulated lender license issued by the Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner. Like many companies, we send firm offers of credit and “live check” loan offers via mail to customers and prospective customers that are included in pre-screened lists we purchase from credit reporting agencies such as ********** and *******. These pre-scre... read more

Very rude company. They threatened me and called me nasty names. After I lost my job I voluntarily return my vehicle in 2015 and now in 2021 I get a garnishment papers from my employer and had no idea that there was even a court date years ago. They have the wrong address on the court papers. This place is awful rude and I would never recommend using them.

Finance the vehicle through them and was never late on a payment and was always early as soon as I decide to break away from them and trade in my vehicle to ***** right after making my payment they charge me a complete full interest and an out rages amount on the principal. So instead of my check being $1200 they took everything and only gave me $474 back. They are thieves plan sample all they want is the money and from what my brother says who also financed his vehicle through them if you fall on hard times or even late a l... read more

Unlike most of these reviews, I know the interest here is high. My problem, is that I called them today and asked for a 5 day grace period - Meyla in ******* ****told me that since today was the last day of the month, that if it wasn't paid today it would be reported as 30 days late. This violates my rights under the FTC, Bureau of consumer protection. If Security First is using this as a tactic to close the month with fewer outstanding payments to increase their month end bonus, than this is criminal.

Borrowed 550 for 6 days, cost me 150$ in interest and fees, you are trash and your fees are and should be illegal. I am contacting the federal trade commission you should be barred from doing business in every state.
