First time seeing Dr Nelson. What an awesome experience. He and his nurse Jackie get a great big shout out. Treated me like family and Dr Nelson asked question after question probing to help me understand why I was there in the first place! After a couple of years of cardiac care in other facilities I was used to consulting only with NPs. In meeting with Dr. Nelson on my first visit to Bonsecours, I rediscovered the importance of direct contact with a physician. So far Bonsecours feels more patient centered than your average metropolitan practice. It is nice to feel more like a name than a number, am quite pleased with transferring here.
The receptionist and the nurse practitioner were very Professional and kind. Dr. Nelson was very thorough Asking-important questions , Giving clear explanations strategy to solve the problem. He spent Perhaps more than 20 minutes with me.
