Volvo Arrowhead is the worst car dealership I have ever worked with!!! DO NOT buy a car from this dealership. They advertised incorrect information online and wouldnt unwind the deal even after we asked within 24 hours. They said they would help us purchase another vehicle but they didnt try very hard. And they added gap insurance to our loan even though we verbally declined the coverage. We ended up having to take a financial hit to sell the vehicle we purchased from them because they wouldnt help us.
We have bought a coverage of $895 which was for Lease Wear and Use Protection for our Volvo XC60 3 year lease to find out that Volvo had 2 different coverages that we could choose from. Apparently the one that was sold to us is not recognized by the Volvo "corporate". This was done deliberately because I am confident that our Sales Person was getting commission on this coverage and never brought up the option of the Volvo coverage,These guys are scammers, just horrible managed dealership.
I recently reached out to ****** ******, the General Sales Manager at Volvo Arrowhead, and was promptly connected with ****** ****, a Sales Associate. From the first conversation, it was clear this wasnt going to be a typical car shopping experienceit was something more.****** took the time to thoroughly educate me on Volvos offerings, leaving no question unanswered. Bought a VW Jetta 2021 from here in 2022. In addition to being tricked into using their financing company--after insisting *repeatedly* that we wanted to use our bank (paperwork was switched)--& fixing that, fast forward a couple ********** turns out our brake pads are shot, discovered ** knew about this problem (defective brake pads) yet were not sent a notification, expensive extra warranty we purchased doesn't cover (car is at 34k miles). Do not get a lease from this dealership. The "Volvo" incentives are really using your tax credit. They don't stand by the quality of their cars. My brand new XC90 had multiple issues and was in the shop for a month and I was scared to drive it because as soon as I left the service **** the alarm would go off, or the car would drop my speed to 45 mi per hour while driving on the freeway. Liars, I had three salespeople lie and deceive me into purchasing a vehicle!
Do not buy a vehicle from McGrath Volvo unless you want to follow-up relentlessly with incompetent staff. We're happy with the *** itself. What we're not happy with is the experience we were given from the very beginning at this dealership. We should have taken that as a sign and moved on to another Volvo dealer.Long story short, they needed multiple reminders via calls/emails/text to complete our paperwork in a timely manner after leaving the dealership on 10/5 having signed all of the paperwork on our end. I was very clear about what I wanted. The salesmen, tag teamed me during negotiations. They switched the vehicle to the one I didnt want halfway through negotiations. After I left, they called me while I was driving home to pressure me into taking their wrong vehicle and no deal offer.
We placed a refundable deposit for an EX90 in December of 2022. In May of 2023 we decided we no longer wanted to pursue the purchase of that vehicle. On May 23rd, 2023 I contacted Sill ****** ***** and spoke with **** *****, Finance Director. They said sure, ok, you're not bound to this, we'll refund your deposit and cancel your reservation.
