When I had a serious spinal injury Dr. Chapko did the surgery at Mansfield Hospital. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. His skill and dedication are second to none. I cannot recommend him enough.
Multiple complications of Harrington rods...breakage, then loosening of hardware. Essentially ignoring patient feedback regarding these issues. Result intractable pain and multiple compounding complications. With further CURRENT knowledge of my presenting symptoms a sledge hammer was used instead of one simple level disc being dealt with based on disc gram. Scoliosis was NOT THAT extreme to justify rods compared to dealing with single level disc.
I have referred many individuals to Dr Chopko. His skill, knowledge and bedside manner make him a diamond in the rough!
Dr Chopko is very skilled ,Master in his Field ,very unassuming & easy to talk to. He has studied my CT Scan ,prior to diagnosing my exact problem & the source of my excruciating pain. I was scheduled for surgery ,which required correcting previous surgeon's botched recent surgery. Not too many surgeons are willing to go into such detailed & complex surgery ,which I required. When I came to see Dr Chopko ,my pain level on the scale of 1-10,was more like 15!! 10 da.post op ,its maybe about 2-3
I have been suffering with severe neck pain, headaches, numbness in extremities in addition to multiple other symptoms. Dr. Chopko has been the ONLY doctor who really listened to the issues I have been suffering and has given a good prognosis. I was so impressed with the length of time and depth he went into to explain what my spinal issues are and how he can help me. I left his office crying out of happiness vs frustration for a change.
