Great food! But the wait time was horrible and several items on the menu was unavailable.
I had the rib tips me and my husband and they were so chewy, we had them on a Saturday night right before closing wasn't impressed.
Each time we ate at Bob's Famous BBQ their food and service far exceeded our expectations! The food was awesome! The service was awesome and the people were awesome! This is one of Jacksonville's best-kept secrets.
When I tell you my stomach about to bust!!! The best Bar Bq in Jax hands down! That Oxtail rice has me licking my fingers every time. I live near Mayport but I drive to the Northside for Bobs Famous Barbq exclusively. If you haven't had Bobs, you missing something special I promise.

Man I have been in Jacksonville, FL for dang near 3 yrs, had to go all the way home SOUTH BEND, Indiana to get some of my hometown favorite BBQ FRANKIES. Now I that my cuz James Easton Jr. came and over to the apartment, we was just chillin, told em I wish I had some Frankie's, he said cuz I know where you van get some Tips. Say no more, we was at BOB's BBQ, let me tell you I am so delighted to know that I can get some Tips. THEY WHERE FANTASTIC, REALLY! I'LL BE BACK FA SHO. .
I went here couple weeks ago cause I been craving for BBQ!! I kept seeing them on Facebook. But anyways, when I got there I had to wait cause they had to cook my wings. But when I tell u it was the best Wings ever. Nobody really smoke wings like that. And the ribs was so tender. Everything was perfect and definitely worth the wait. I will be there this Wednesday!!
I love the rib tips with a side of the sweet and tangy sauce. They're tender and well seasoned....
