Dr. Ensminger is the most caring physician I have ever met. He takes time to answer any and all questions his patients have. Dr. Ensminger cares about the lives of his patients as he inquires about the interpersonal lives as well as the medical lives. Overall one of the best doctors I have ever met, Our family drives over an hour to see him, no doctor in our town compares to his compassion.
Someone referred him, went to him for minor cut. Was also treated for swimmers ear (fungus) with an antibiotic. Months of pain and going back. Finally left, went to ENT Dr. who said it was a fungus, treated it with right med. and it never returned. Wanted to do certain test, that I was against, another time. When I refused them he was totally hateful, said if you can't do what I recommend, you can find yourself another Dr. and escorted me out.
Had a good repoire with Dr. Ensminger before he went with St. Francis. Went in last year after falling a few times in succession and hurting my back. Went back a few days ago for my yearly physical and he attacked me when I told him things that he doesn't think I should be doing although I give proof that the activity does not hurt my back. Refuses to refill the occasional pain prescription as punishment. Will NOT be going back or referring him.
Dr. Ensminger talks to you in a way you can easily understand. He is honest, professional, & knowledgeable, but still talks with you like an old friend. I like the fact that he stays up-to-date on medical issues & prescription meds. Additionally, he will speak bluntly when needed (I need that often). One of the best things I can say about him is that I would put him up against the best doctors in the biggest cities, yet he maintains his small-town deameanor & likability. He genuinely cares.
