I told him one of the medications he prescribed was giving me diarrhea. He accused me of lying, said that wasn't a side effect of that medicine. He insisted that I come in monthly for a BP and cholesterol check. After a year of that, he started making me come in monthly to check my A1C. I got a 2nd opinion. My A1C is fine. Ensminger was using me for a cash cow.
Dr Ensminger is the best doctors. We have always had a great experience with him and his staff. Our family has used him for over 20 years. We have followed him from Winnfield to Ruston, over a 2 hour drive one way. He is the type of doctor that sits and listens to you. He will find out what's wrong and point you in the right direction. My 21 year old daughter found out last year she has Type 1 diabetes, was so concerned and helpful in getting us to the correct doctor to get the help she needed.
I have been a patient of Dr Ensminger for nearly 10 yrs. When I first went to him, he was an amazing doctor. One of my favorite things about him was that he always recognized me and was quick to remember my patient profile. He was also the first doctor to every really believe in me and he set me up with the specialists I needed to get the help and treatments for my individual issues. Dr. Ensminger was rude and uncaring. I came to him hoping to get help because I was very ill. He told me it was stress and yelled at me. I never went back. I found another doctor and I was diagnosed with a tumor. Ensminger didn't care to find out what was wrong with me, doesn't want to listen to his patients.
He has a problem with instant anger, and is a ticking time bomb! Asked a question he didn’t like, and it flew all over him. Got angry and told me to find another doctor which wasn’t a problem. Just know if it hasn’t happened to you yet it will. My spouse refused to go back after the first visit because he was so rude.
This doctor just doesn't care about people. Went in with my wife, he was very disrespectful.
I had to change doctors after mine retired and I am so thankful for Dr. Ensminger and his PA Kristin. They are thorough and patient. I have never felt like they were rushing me through. Also their nurses are always kind, happy, and thorough. I would highly recommend Dr. Ensminger
My family has seen Dr. Ensminger for years. We have never had a bad experience. He is a great doctor and he genuinely cares for his patients. My family and I will continue to use him. We also drive a hour to see him.
