Incredible! – If you like sushi, I mean really like sushi, this is the place for you. The staff is Japanese, but very american friendly, the sushi is cut generously. Bobby can make you things that are not on the menu! If it's not busy, challenge him to do so. He made me a 'desert' sushi of fresh salmon with a single, razor thin, slice of cuccumber wrapped around it a few times then poured a thin sweet sauce over the top, something you might find on a tai cuccumber salad. Wow. – And I'm not wow'd easily :) Love this please, the people are kind, expedient, know their sushi. The ambience is excellent, everyone feels VIP. The only thing is the tables in the dining room are a tad crowded, but I guess that could also be part pf the appeal... a very good looking crowd to be packed in tight with! Great bar, tasty aesthetics as well as menu. Enjoy! I'm definitely going back.
Great Sushi – Brought some family visiting from out of town here last Tuesday. Beautiful interior. Server was friendly and prompt. All the rolls and individual pieces of sushi we ordered were excellent. Everyone enjoyed the food. Skip the teriyaki chicken, it was just so-so.
Best service there is – Not only is the food amazing, but the staff makes you feel welcome. Everyone has a big smile and is eager to please. None of the other sushi places in Chicago can hold a candle.
Best Sushi in Town! – I really love this joint!! I used to live in Ukranian Village and stop by Bob Sans all the time. They're open late and it's always a relaxed atmosphere where you can get affordable tasty sushi. I will often sit and have dinner in their lounge. I go out of my way to stop by for sushi when I get the hankering!
Great sushi and wonderful atmosphere – This is my favorite place for sushi. Its very fresh and there is a large variety. They also have some more exotic items on the menu which I always like to try.
well done – We live closer to Sushi Wabi, but prefer Bob. His rolls aren't as varied or artful as Sushi Wabi, but the quality of fish is top noitch.
Eat Here Now – BOBSan is quite possibly the best sushi restaurant in town. The ambience is fabulous and the service is amazing, even during the busiest times of day. The food is top-notch and the prices are not too high. The only criticism I have for this restaurant is that the tables/chairs are awkward and slightly uncomfortable. The tables have a large post underneath them that takes a lot of "leg room" away. Also, some of the tables are set extremely close together, but let that stop you from checking out this restaurant!
