Is what it is Bob's is exactly what they say they are. It's discount furniture. If you like to switch furniture, often then this might be the place for you. It's worth a look.
bobs We recently purchased a new living room set from Bob's. I had shopped in a lot of the upscale furniture stores and was pleasantly surprised that Bob's carried the same style I was looking for. I always thought they only carried "cheap" furniture but they do have some really nice things also. Everyone is surprised when I tell them where I bought the set and I only paid 1/2 what I would've for the same set in a different store. I am very happy with my puchase.
Bob's Discount Furniture We went to Bob's and for the first half of the hour, we walked around by ourselves and the sales people were sitting on the couches. Then when someone decided to help us, they just rushed us around to sit here and there. We left and went back for one that we liked and the next sales person literally stalked us as we walked around. Even when we went into the bedroom sets, she followed us closely behind. The furniture it cheaply priced which is good but I'd pass on the service.
Frustrating!! I purchased an entire home of furniture from Bob's and in nearly eight weeks, there were still many pieces that weren't available. There were some very pushy sales people (we were shopping around and had gone there a few times). We ended up with a salesperson who quit and we were left with even less help after that. Bob's Bob's furniture has great selection and great prices. The sales staff are all very friendly and non-pressure. I love the look of Bob's with their Koi pond and kids area, what a great idea! We have purchased several pieces of furniture from bobs and the delivery team is great as well. PROS: CONS: Hard to find items are not always in stock for immediate delivery.
Another Bob's horror story Bought a mattres and b-room set from Bob's, horrible quality and service, mirror was defective, they delivered 2 other defective mirrors before the problem was fixed. Real poor attitude of delivery people, did not care about scrtaching my walls, or ruining my ceiling fan. I complained to customer service, nothing was ever done. No idea how Bob's got furniture dealer of the year in 2008, he sells crap and the service is poor. Live and learn.
Crappy Recliner The furniture from this store is absolute crap. I bought a recliner that lasted just over 2 years - and I'm not talking about the fabric (which is wearing terribly) - I'm talking about the metal part on the bottom of the chair - it's broken in 5 pieces! And now the chair falls over backward if you sit in it too fast. I will NEVER buy a piece of furniture from Bob's Discount Furniture again
Unprofessional I purchased a dining room table and chairs in August from Bob's. When they were delivered, the table had no legs and 2 of the 8 chairs did not match. This began a run around to try to get the problem resolved; it took a month before it was finally fixed! Bob's reaction was unacceptable (ie. the customer service person suggested that we drive to CT to their warehouse to pick up the correct chairs). I would not recommend Bob's to anyone. PROS: CONS: Poor customer service
Poor Sales Staff, Good Prices, Poor Selection When I entered this store I was immediately greeted, and I explained to the sales member that I was looking for a sectional, and he immediately walked me towards the Couch & Sectional section of the store. After I looked over two sectionals and asked him a few questions he seemed busy so I told him I would find him if I had any questions.
