BObs Stinks! Bought a bedroom set from Bobs about 5 years ago. They claimed it was 100% Italian lacquer, ya right...its painted paper that falls off in a couple years. You can literally peel it off with your hand. The chest that we bought fell apart. The drawers fell off. My bedroom looked like a junk yard. Bob's, the working mans freind? my experience was very enlightening. my father and myself went to the Southington store to buy a mattress for his tractor trailer which is just a twin mattress. the sales person gave us a lot of help when she realized they didn't have any on hand,so rather then make drive to another Bob's store,she suggested that we should go to Costco,or BJ's for his mattress. so we left the store feeling confused and went 1/4 mile away to BEDDING BARN, and the sales person there sold us a mattress right away... read more
worst customer service Bobs has the worst customer service ever. I have been trying to contact them for the last three weeks. Finally they said they would get. back to exchange two tables that were lopsided. NOONE ever called. Go somewhere where they care and you get quality and good customer service. get what you pay for...or maybe even less We bought a sofa table from scratch and dent...no problems with that, the price was right. We also bought a sofa and chaise (the concord set) about 2 years ago and feel not only are they extremely uncomfortable but you just feel as though they will fall apart any day now. 3years max total lifespan full time use. Not happy about Bob's delievery service I bought two bed sets on two different occassions at Bob's Furniture in Soughinton. Last year, the delievery guys left without assembling the bed sets appropriately. I should've checked their work throughly. This time as they got into the room where the old bed sets were, they first asked me, 'what are you going to do with with these old bed sets?' Disappointed I, like Cindy, don't like the pressure sales. They do accost you at the door and if you tell them you just want to browse, they linger in the background and come over if they see you looking at something for longer than a few seconds with a sales pitch. I find the lighting in the store is very soft and somewhat low, therefore you cannot truly see the furniture. Horrible customer service I was told my furniture would be delivered between 8am-11am and to use their "state-of-the-art" technology on their website to track my delivery. At 8am, I use the tracker and it says deliver time is 8:03am so I assume I'm the first delivery on the route and prep my house for delivery. I wait about an hour and no one comes.
