Yesterday we called in a carry out order to eat on the patio. Everything was ready to go when we got there, and we were able to enjoy our food with a bottle of rosé by the water. We ended up tacking on an additional order of Oysters Rockefeller after we finished our initial carry out, and the staff kindly offered to bring them out to us. Very impressed with Boathouse Traverse City, friendly staff and fantastic food. Our server Logan, was very helpful in recommending dishes and providing great service despite the current pandemic. A friend and I split the crab cakes and rack of lamb and they were both to die for. It’s hard to find a restaurant that does seafood and meat so well and Boathouse does just that! Highly recommend!!

Very rude that my family and I were turned away because we had to big of a party, but truth of the matter is we weren't dressed up to there code. Very disappointing. Very rudely turned away.
I’ve never been talked to so rude by a hostess. Was told our family of 9 couldn’t be seated separately because the rude hostess “knew we were together”. Obviously when I said party of 9 that was a given. Excuse after excuse. But be sure to check the dress code before you go. If you just got off your boat and aren’t dressed up don’t bother going here. I’ll never recommend this place to anyone.
