Just what I wanted excellent
By far the WORST banh mi I’ve ever had in my life. Weird aftertaste, meat was tough and not tender at all. My sandwich was just thrown in a paper bag and was not wrapped in foil like most places do. I entered the small restaurant and politely said “hello!” And the Asian woman just looked at me and didn’t respond. I then told her I was there for a pick up order, and she just pointed at the sandwich on the counter and didn’t say anything. She looked very bothered and annoyed I was even there. It felt like the Bahn Mi shop I used to go to in Australia. I can't really rate the food as I was not able to eat it. I am used to them putting chilli's on the sandwich. I would just take them off, B&N seem to have the heat in the pickling juice the vegetables were pickled in. The orginal flavor I got was amazing, then my taste buds ran away. So be warned. Ask and don't assume if you can't handle spicey.
I stopped going here as often after new ownership. Eat at your own risk. I watched the girl making the sandwiches use the same gloves for awhile without changing them. She then proceeded to touch doors and door handles and I had to ask her to change gloves. If you get the Dac Biet sandwich which is the most common. The premake the sandwich with all the ingredients that are supposed to be kept at a certain temp but instead the premake it then put it in the same container that they keep the bread...which is at room temperature... read more
