I think it’s terrible insurance. Pick one of the others. I had a med that I was actively using denied for further coverage because of erroneous information. The appeals and grievance dept just flat out makes things up, back dates letters (which is FRAUD), lies about contacting you, doesn’t read any information that’s provided and seems to function as a department that just says ‘denied’ no matter what. If you have the option to pick a different plan. Do it. WellSense could careless about your health. They are refusing my diabetic medication that ive been on for over 2 years. I havent had my med in over a month now. Cant wait for open enrollment to leave this crap insurance. That is if i make it another year without my medication. Not the plan to get if you live in MA. Barely any doctors work with them, I have repeatedly gotten a referral from my PCP to a specialist who then says they don't accept Wellsense and puts me back at square one, delaying treatment by weeks. It's impossible to receive any continuity of care with a single provider. Additionally, every doctor I go to that DOES take them has been a negative experience: ignoring my concerns, talking over me, saying verbatim they "don't know what's wrong with me", suggesting its all in my head, an... read more
