About this business

Blyth Funeral Home was officially established in Greenwood by William Van Blyth in 1884, but our heritage dates back nearly a century and a half earlier to 1855. Blyth Funeral Home is the oldest business in Greenwood County still in operation, and it continues to be firmly rooted in the community as an independent, family-owned business. Proud to have the only in-house chapel crematory in Greenwood Blyth Funeral Home exclusively owns Oakbrook Memorial Park where we are honored to serve families with perpetual care, including... read more

Blyth handled my infant daughters and my Mother's funeral. 1983 and 2011. I don't believe that deceased persons "Look good." Saying that, Kimberly, my daughter was ill at her death and was swollen at her time of death. Lying in the casket she looked like a Blowfish. She looked like a porcelain babydoll. My Mother passed in 2011 and she looked better in the casket than I had seen her in years. She looked rested and peaceful.
