A Must! The best fine dining in Kansas City. No bizarre pretentiousness, just an amazing culinary experience in a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely try their Sunday brunch when you can.
Quiet atomosphere, great service and food – We've eaten here both on the fly and relaxed. The food is phenomenal and the service unparalleled. Creative menu items, excellent wine list (and the servers are well-educated in wine recommendations), peaceful and cozy ambience. I go here whenever I can. Also check out the desserts - these people know what they're doing!
Expensive, but a nice treat Love the atmosphere. The restaurant can be pricey, so i suggest doing happy hour and getting great food at a reduced price in the bar/lounge (although food delivery can take a long time). Since it is generally not very crowded, the bartenders are very friendly, and will often come over and sit down with you while you order. Fun & hip Located in Westport in Kansas City, Bluestem is well known for innovative cuisine and a hip atmosphere. Yes, it is pricey, but the food is fresh and beautifully presented. The bar is a lot of fun. They offer three to twelve courses in pairings, and we had a nice, elegant meal there.
A hidden gem just off the Plaza – What a gem! I had to read a review in Midwest Air inflight magazine to read about it. The menu sounded a bit daunting but the actual presentation was very straightforward and the food was delicious. Friendly and helpful staff with an excellent wine list. Great bar and bar menu if you are not hungry enough for a full meal but want to enjoy world class food in a casual yet elegant atmosphere.
Superb Food, Excellent Service, Intimate Settings. – We are self proclaimed food snobs and it takes a lot for me to give high recommendations, but Bluestem is a winner. The lounge area is simple and upscale, mildly trendy, but not in a bad way. Best Fine Dining in KC – Bluestem is my favorite place in KC. The food is just fantastic. I have been there several times and don't have a bad thing to say. The menu is creative and changes seasonally. They have a great wine list. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. Make sure you save room for dessert, you don't want to miss out! The room is cozy and beautifully decorated. I would recommend dining here for a special occasion since it is not inexpensive, however you will find it is worth every penny.
