I called the BluePearl Veterinary Partners this morning to find out why Dr. Britton never offered my MaggieMay any real pain medicine for her Feline Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma, but rather some awful tasting Gabapentin from a capsule to break up and put in the food -\-\ which Maggie rejected,.. and that "it's never too early to euthanize". When I touched base with Dr. Britton twice to let her know MaggieMay did not tolerate the Gabapentin in the food, she did not offer any other pain medicine. When my Italian Greyhound broke his foreleg my primary vet's practice was closed. I called a close friend who worked as a vet technician for advice and she told me to take him to Blue Pearl. I believe Heart of Chelsea also recommends them for emergency care after hours. They took great care of Valentino and I was amazed when Dr. Raske just happened to be leaving after surgery and he stopped by to talk to us. Amazing staff, great care and love for our pet. Very professional and friendly. They definitely saved our pet’s life.
Best in emergency; not cheap, but when it comes to our fur babies, we really don't think about cost. We do worry about it though.
