I have never been more horrified by any experience like the experience I have had at Blue Pearl. The two times I’ve used them (one in Brooklyn and one by this location) I have been treated like dirt. They have been horribly rude and horribly unprofessional. For people that deal in animal emergencies, you’d think they would focus on customer service. Not them. They should be shut down as a practice. Do not go here.

I will NEVER go to Blue Pearl emergency vet again! You told me when I called ahead that it'd be an hour wait. You didn't mention there was no waiting room. We waited for 3.5 hours in my car with NO updates at all. Finally, I called and spoke to the vet who had my puppy's age and symptoms wrong despite my clearly stating what was going on. My poor baby was in a kennel feeling stressed for over 3.5 hours. I brought her in because she's been lethargic and didn't eat today and had diarrhea once. To say these people are pricey is an understatement. I had to bring my dog there after urgent vet referred me to them because he had to be monitored overnight. Immediately they ask for $2100 on the credit card "just in case" what might happen. By morning, my bill was at $900. I call and they are working on a "treatment plan" even though they are not his vet. He was just brought there to be stabilized. We had a horrible first experience at Blue Pearl in Seattle with a nine week old puppy. My daughter waited from 11 am until 9 pm after bringing in the puppy for lethargic behavior, vomiting etc. WE finally asked for subcutaneous fluids and for him to be fed, then were sent home with a bill over $1000.00 and instructions to return for an ultrasound the next morning. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO ANY OF THESE LOCATIONS. Our puppy fractured his tibia. We rushed him here to be told well he may not need surgery so they put the poor guys leg in a cast that was $900 we come back in 2 days for a check up and now he needs surgery. They charge us $4000 and tell us we would be getting some money refunded back after the procedure. Of course this never happened nor did they give us any sedatives to calm him down. Absolutely horrible. Our cat was diagnosed with lymphoma at University of Florida. We began treatment at Blue Pearl with Dr. Kane. It became obvious he is like the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain, and his entire practice is set up so that you have little to no contact with him directly during months of treatment. He's very personable during your $150 initial consultation, but your $300+ weekly treatments include a $60 charge for an "examination" and good luck ever getting to speak with him.
