Cancelled a reservation and had to pay a month's worth of rent. Fine. Then they added $1,400 of fees on top of it. Avoid these clowns. EDIT: They lied in their reply. Not only did they charge a whole month's rent, they charged a non-refundable $671, AND they charged me for our pet fee, parking fee, and utilities. I didn't use any of this. In total, to cancel, I was charged about $4400. And they think this is excusable because in their pile of Terms of Service they legally covered themselves. It’s been two months today since I moved out of my blueground apartment and I have still not received my deposit back. This is unacceptable. Keep getting the same standard response each time I email, that the money has been transferred and wait for it to clear. Upon move in the cleaners had missed cleaning the toilet in the bathroom, which was disgusting, and the general cleaning could be a higher standard. Easy process and great communication. Lovely place to stay and was well cleaned.
I recently had the misfortune of staying in a Blueground apartment in Austin, TX that was advertised as a high-end rental, and I have been incredibly disappointed with the experience. The condition of the apartment was far from what was promised. Upon arrival, it was evident that the place was in poor shape. First and foremost, the air conditioning was non-functional, with no filter even in place on the unit, making the stay extremely uncomfortable, especially during hot weather.
