About this business

A Tucson institution for 20 years, this bakery and cafe has set the standard for wholesome food with its omelets, quiches and tofu scrambles. Its glory continues to this day due to the staff's dedication to quality ingredients and service. Don't miss their chocolate dessert dish, which never fails to impress clients and reviewers. A great outdoor patio with greenery and fountains provides shade and cool during the hot Tucson summers.

Fun and different The gift shop in the front always has unique gift ideas that are perfect for birthdays or other occasions and it is a great waiting place (because there will be one when you get there). The food choices are not what you would typically expect but they are great and if you hit a nice time of the year I would recommend sitting outside, they have a very nice patio area.

Great food, great ambiance, great to visit with great friends! A warning, though - the food is not always traditional, but a large menu should offer plenty of choices. It's hard to decide which is more pleasant - patio seating for an omelette brunch on a nice spring day, or inside by the fireplace on a winter evening. This restaurant is built around an old adobe home and it includes a wonderful gift shop at the entrance - plan on browsing and spending, as you will see things here you won't find anywhere else. Oh - their wond... read more

Pretty good breakfast menu Breakfast here is a fine experience. The breads and pastries were decent but not that memorable. I think the choices were OK, but not always the standard breakfast fare. Unfortunately this place is on one of the most heavy traffic roads and can get busy for large parties on the weekend. The prices were a little above the average breakfast place. PROS: Pastries CONS: Busy, prices

An old favorite and I try and eat here when I'm visiting Tucson. Love the citrus soy stir-fry and the 'Blue Willow Special' is an all-time favorite. Cute space and service is always great.

The Bad Willow – While the food was par, the service was slow, and i felt more like an intruder than a customer. You get over the charm of the gift shop after you've waited for an hour plus in the poorly-ventilated, swamp-cooled, over-priced closet only to be seated by an unprofessional looking hostess that was neither organized or friendly. Once seated, it took 15 minutes to be approached by one person, who passed the drink order on to someone else who got it wrong. There was lettuce on my coffee cup and the food was good, ... read more

Nice atmosphere and a good food – I am visiting Tuscon and asked the front desk at the hotel for ideas about a vegetarian restuarant for my wife's palate. The Blue Willow was recommended and we both had a delicious meal. The atmosphere is comfortable and the prices are fair. My only complaint is there seemed to be some confusion who was waiting our table and it took a very long time to get approached...almost to the point I left. Observing other tables, this did not seem the norm so I do not this this is typical. Once a serv... read more
