If you book with Shawn, don’t expect him to actually be there on time—or even do your appointment. I have called a week in advance on multiple occasions specifically to book with him because I was told he was the best. Yet one of my worst experiences was when I had an appointment scheduled with him, and he didn’t even come to work on my nails until the last 30 minutes. Horrible service, judgmental staff, and disrespectful treatment—that sums up my experience at Blue Sky Nails. During one of my appointments, I asked for a small acrylic extension on my big toenail because it was much shorter than my other toenails, and I simply wanted them to look even. Instead of treating me professionally, at least four staff members gathered around, laughed at me, pointed at my toe, and even took photos while making jokes about me needing a toenail extension. I have been to this salon many times because it has been recommended to me by several friends, and I was specifically told to book with Shawn. I will say that he is very talented at doing nails. However, if you have a specific nail design in mind, I would not recommend going to him. If he doesn’t personally like your design, he’ll often call it “ugly” and insist on changing it because he thinks his version looks better.
