Blue Paddle Bistro had some hits and misses, but overall, we had a decent experience. Visiting from out of town, we needed a dinner spot and made a same-day reservation, which they kindly accommodated. The restaurant has a cozy, rustic vibe — think cabin-in-the-mountains charm. Even before dining here the experience was warm and personal! I called to make a reservation and left my information and received a really friendly voicemail back in a very short amount of time. The owner, at least I think she’s the owner😀, Mandy called back to confirm the reservation and I’ve honestly never had anybody be so friendly and nice over the phone when returning a call from a restaurant, especially the owner! You will not be disappointed. A busy Thursday night so make your reservation in advance if you can. Great feeling friendly staff and very prompt and attentive service. Excellent dinner (nice presentation too) and respectable 'real' portions. Will we return? YES! My pork tenderloin was the best ever! (Maybe suggest a tad less goat cheese with the mashed potatoes?) Food was definitely hit or miss. Ordered a ribeye medium well and it came out bloody. We sent it back and unfortunately, they took the Caesar salad and added dressing to it and included the mashed potatoes which by then were really cold. They did cook the steak and bring it back and it was OK but certainly not great or worth $43. Service was good.
