The barbecue is so good! The brisket is my favorite, it's always perfect. I always get the ginger coleslaw and Brüssel sprouts, they are both delicious. This time I got the stewed okra and it was really good. I love the atmosphere and the new covered patio is a real plus. I always recommend this place.
We are just recently moved to Mandeville, LA from South Carolina and Blue Oak BBQ is the best we have found in New Orleans area. We have never had a bad meal and love to try their daily specials. Well worth the drive across the lake for good BBQ.

This place saved my family and me this past Saturday. They gave us shelter and great customer service during a NOLA storm that was reminiscent of Katrina flooding (not my words but the media's words). We took up space in their restaurant and they were extra caring and understanding. Oh' Ann's their brisket is AMAZING!!! It melts in your mouth it's so good!!! Mac n Cheese? Delicious. Chicken? Mouth watering! Price is worth the food!
