Always friendly service. The clam chowder soup seemed to be home made... Chunks of potatoes and thick broth.
The service took a little long for how busy it was and then only minutes after receiving our second round a female employee came up and quickly said " I'm sorry I didn't realize what time it was so you guys need to hurry and drink up cause I have to lock the doors" The time was only 1:30 and we along with about 10 other customers were rushed out the door. The employee could have said the same thing but followed up with but I'll give ya a few minutes to finish not just rushed out.
Picture any other McMenamins except without any parking within three miles.
I came in on Saturday! We had the best bartender ever, Cat. We loved our time there - we will be back every time we visit Portland!
There are between 4 and 10 bars between my apartment and Blue Moon, but honestly, I come here for the atmosphere. The servers I've encountered have all been wonderful, and they work hard. Sometimes the service isn't as quick as many folks prefer, but when I'm at Blue Moon I'm usually kicking back by the fireplace and PREFER to not have everything quickly. Oh. Well so far we have been here, 23 minutes and not 1 server/waitstaff has even stopped by. No menus no silver wear, no service what so ever. Not even that busy. Good for you mcmenemins nice job.
