Such an awesome place! Sat outside and had a blast, great food!
There’s nothing me or my family didn’t like about this laidback restaurant. We had a short wait and they were short on servers, but it wasn’t a problem. The food, service and outdoor eating area was wonderful. Appetizers ordered: artichoke dip, cucumber bruschetta. Entrees ordered: Buffalo chicken salad, buffalo chicken wrap, crab cake sandwich and meatloaf sandwich. Desserts ordered: Chocolate lava cake with ice cream and peanut butter pie.

Atmosphere was comfortable and eclectic, service was fantastic, and the food was great. Accommodated everyone from local denizens, to prom couples in tuxes and gowns with petticoats, to visitors in town for a game convention. Will definitely be back when I’m in town, and maybe even sit in the spacious garden area if seasonal allergies aren’t in full attack mode.
GREAT PLACE and everything you' d want for a good meal and atmusphere
Ate there for the first time upon a recommendation from a coworker. Found it easy enough but parking is a nightmare in Shepardstown. Upon entry we waited a bit, decided to sit outside. Plenty of seating in outdoor area but could use some cleaning/sprucing up. I also kept getting random wiffs of possibly pot, stale beer or urnine. If that wasn’t bad enough I used the restroom. This was my first time at Blue Moon, but I liked what I had seen in previous reviews and photos. I took a friend to celebrate her upcoming birthday, and we decided to eat outdoors on a beautiful Spring day. We both chose (different kinds) quiche- hers with cream of crab soup and mine with a side salad. Both were very good. The excellent, friendly service enhanced the experience even more. Looking forward to coming again.
