Blue Lake Animal Care Center is simply the best! The Dr. Powell and Dr. Sears and staff are exceptional, show that they truly care for my pet, and are very competent in what they do.
We've been coming to Dr. Powell for 15 years. I could not more highly recommend this knowledgable, caring, thoughtful, and experienced vet and his kind team. When I moved away from Tahoe to SF, I tried out several ( some in north lake some in SF - approx. 7) new vets for my senior pups, and found out first hand that I had already had the best vet in northern California. This veterinarian is professional, knowledgeable, and was able to diagnose a difficult and uncommon medical condition after three other veterinarians had missed it. He understands the idea that our pets, while animals, are a part of our family. We drive from San Francisco, as often as needed, to have him care for our pets. We have three cats and a 132 pound dog. He is someone you can trust your pets' care to, without concern. He genuinely cares.
