Anthem is an excellent Medicare provider. However, their affiliation with Nations Benefits is a horrible partnership. Nations Benefits is a DISASTER. I haven't received my benefit card. Supposedly they have mailed a card on 4 occasions. It is impossible that the U.S. postal service would have lost their mail. I receive every other government and companies mailings. The employees of Nations Benefits are obviously incompetent! Each time I speak to them they give me incorrect information about when the card was mailed. Addition... read more
Terrible insurance company. Ridiculous out of pocket/Deductible. They dont want to cover any imaging or surgeries. What's the point of insurance when I could pay less if I just dont involve my insurance??
I have been stuck in an appeal spin cycle for most of a year because Anthem has tech errors in its system. Every time our appeal gets approved, their system flags that our surgery should've been covered by Anthem...and the appeal is rejected because Anthem says Anthem should be covering it all already so no appeal should be necessary. There is no escalation path, no notification, no way to fix it. Our appeal just stalls out and is reset every single time. This is insane.
