I have been trying to get an estimate for a couple of procedures I am supposed to have, and today I got a call from my “case worker” stating they don’t give out estimates. I’m not asking for the amount contracted with the hospital. I'm asking for an estimate on what it might cost for me to have a couple of big procedures. The online estimate calculator is a joke. Contacted my doctor and tried to convince him to switch my meds and half the dosage. I didnt know that BCBS went to a med school & got licensed so they could medical treatment decisions?!?
Have had a policy for years. No major claims. Doubled and then when we switched providers all of a sudden coverage back dated and we aren’t covered for a full month that has been paid. We only switched because they refused service to change coverage. Can’t get a human that is helpful on the phone. Sight is hard to navigate. Used to be the premium insurance and is now just a racket!
