What I'm looking for every coffee shop is the ambience of the place. For me, nothing beats this shop when it comes to that category.
As a coffee lover, I won't settle for gimmicks and false advertisement. So I make sure to experience a coffee shop myself to decide on whether they are good or bad. For me, this one has my vote. Great coffees, great staffs.
Cafe Mocha is my favorite blend of coffee and they did it just right. I did order another cup after I finished my first when I visited them last month. I'll be trying other blend the next time!
I always go here to meet with my friends, we prefer the milder taste of their coffee from others, and theirs are pretty tamed from other shops around.
Citysearch Editorial Review – Located in a former wholesale produce market with floor-to-ceiling windows, Blue Bottle Coffee"s new Oakland outpost is flooded with light. High ceilings, white walls and a steel counter make the café feel simple and clean, while a bouquet of fresh flowers adds just the right amount of warmth. As is always true with these coffee purists, the offerings are straightforward--if you"re looking for a gingerbread soy latte, stick with Starbucks--but the lack of novelty cappuccinos is more than made up... read more
Good coffee, too pricey – The prices are a wee bit too high, but on the plus side--it is NOT a chain! Very good lattes. Service sometimes grumpy. NOTE: Be wary of reviewers who write lengthy, glowing, and unabashedly favorable reveiws as they are almost surely professional plants. It's easy to figure out who they are--read their other reviews (they are never, EVER negative).
Not worth the wait – After reading the great reviews of Blue Bottle Coffee, we tried the coffee today. It was just okay. The flavor of the drip coffee was good, but the coffee was served lukewarm. We waited over 5 minutes for warm coffee.
Local artisan microroasters bring organic coffee to Hayes Valley. – This alleyway coffee kiosk was the first location of the cult East Bay-based roaster, thought by many to make the best cup in San Francisco. Neighborhood locals and coffee cognescenti line up for the rocket fuel grade blend--narcotic-grade jitters can result from overconsumption--as well as organic pastries and bags of beans to roast at home. Everything's to go, unless you're lucky enough to snag one of the two small sidewalk tables.
AMAZING New Orleans Iced Coffee!!!! – This was the best coffee drink I have ever tasted. The baristo was very friendly and explained to me what made it so tasty. I had to get a 2nd one. You MUST try this!!!!
