Excellent Blu is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Norman. The waitstaff is professional and competent, yet very friendly. The food is outstanding. The cheese tray and a dirty martini has become comfort food for me after a long day at work. Not to mention the amazing wine dinners they do! So much attention to detail. You can tell a lot of love and attention goes in to all they do there.
Large disappointment The menu read like a dream, as did the decor. The rest was a disappointment. The wait-staff was terrible, it took a long time to place an order, only got 1 refill in the 2 hours we were there. It is a wine bar, so if you want to get hammered before you get your meal, they have quite the good selection. If you're not into wine, I suggest bringing your own water. Blu left me feeling blue As much as I love trying new things, this restaurant missed the mark by trying to stretch too far. Although the spicy hummus with pita chips is delicious, I felt very disappointed with my entree: one of their specialty pizzas. The crust was much too hard, and the toppings didn't impress me. As for the service, I've definitely had much better. Our waitress went from non-existent while we were waiting for refills to hovering after we were finished. Yummy food! Yummy drinks! Great Service!
Went there Easter afternoon 2011 with family. The place is trying to be hip with menus that don't describe the food, so you have to ask the waitress. I guess the owner decided he wants all his female staff to dress like classy prostitutes. I'm not complaining really, they were all very attractive esp. with their fishnet stockings and short skirts, but I got in trouble for looking too long at one of them. Next time I'm single...hmmmm.

Blu is my new "place to go..." – Blu is one of those "we'll take care of you" establishments, where the staff will greet you the minute you walk in the door with a smile, seat you quickly and immediately bring you a drink. The food is top-notch (I recommend "The Man Burger" which isn't on the menu) and available late-night which is nice in a college town where most food services close surprisingly early.
