Recommendedthis is our favorite restaurant on the coast. unfortunately, we no longer live in the area and therefore, aren't regulars. but every Christmas break, when we come home, we make make a special trip to the coast...just to eat here. the staff is always great and the food is amazing. I love the view and that they feed stray cats. I can't wait for our visit in a couple of weeks!
Went here with our church group last night. MISTAKE!!! Very, very poor service to say the least. I did not get my food until everyone else had already eaten. Took forever to get it and when I did it was wrong. Ordered dozen oysters on the half shell - again took forever to get them and they were not separated from the shell. Poor quality and small on top of that. AVOID THE BLOWFLY INN AT ALL COSTS!!!! They defintely BLOW. I will never spend another penny at this place and I would suggest you don't either.
Our visit was on 20 October 2018. Most of our food was good. However, my wife’s crab cakes were almost unable to eat/take home. She didn’t want to say anything but I will for her. Every bit she took, there were shells in it.
The food was awful to say the least. Steaks tasted of charcoal lighter. Potato was no where near “loaded”. Salad was brought out with entree. And the salt was so old it wouldn’t even pour out with lid off...lol! Hostess was rude but, server & owner were very nice.
Had dinner there with old friend Eddy Benny Friday night while I was on the coast for Cruisen’ and I had their “Cruiser’s Special”, boiled shrimp, corn on the Cobb and a nugget potato. The shrimp were a good size, the seasoning was just enough and there were about twice as many shrimp than I could eat. Dinner at the Blow Fly Inn is a must on my trips back home.

Apparently from reading the other reviews things have changed. Took forever to take our order. Took even longer to get our food. Gumbo was awful, like it was leftover from yesterday and nuked in microwave. I never did get my meal but they tried to charge me anyway. Hopefully it gets better but I won’t be back😡

yes I do I love the waitress they do their job very well and the cook is excellent and the food is very good and when you leave there you going to be very satisfied and full🤗🤗🤩🤩😍😍😘
