This place is perfect for cheap drinks on a Thursday night. They offer one of the best drink specials in the city: dollar import bottles. They may not always have what you want, and it might taste old, but that's the price that comes with drinks that are so ridiculously cheap. Their new outdoor deck is great and gives the smokers a place to hang out. Can't beat this place on a Thursday night in the summer time!

Polish Food? – Okay, we heard some of the BEST things about Bloomfield Bridge Tavern, so myself, my husband, and cousin set out to try it. Being that we are all 100% Polish, we know great polish food when we see it. The staff, not sure if there were any owners there, were very pleasant and helpful. However, the establishment was very dark, and smelled of a typical old time bar room. Two of us orderd the polish plate-red, and one the polish plate-white, and unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The kluski and haluski were... read more

The very best Polish food – I got a chance to meet the Frankowski family that own and operate the tavern. Nicer folks you won't find. When I asked about the perogies I was told that they are made by an aunt of the owner. My gawd! Melt in your mouth, the likes that I have never had before. (a little sour cream on the side). AHHH! I am a big guy and the Polish Platter was more food then I could handle. B. B. T. is yet another reason to visit the city of Pittsburgh.

Showcasing the area's local talents and serving up some interesting food and chatter. – The Scene Gaudy "Dingus Day" Polish pride and political candidate signs are painted on the side, which serve notice at the end of the bridge as a gateway to the neighborhood of Bloomfield. Customers might find owner Steve behind the bar, with brother Carl checking IDs at the door and father Stan holding court with local Democratic Committee politicos at a window table. The Vibe In the evening, tables are removed from the small stage and t... read more

Polish Platter...Try It! – I was able to spend a quiet Saturday Afternoon at the BBT with some Polish gentelmen from Mercer County. We very much enjoyed the food and service and will return as often as we can. We missed meeting the owners and look forward to this. May I highly reccomend the "Polish Platter"! A taste of the homeland made to perfection!
