RecommendedIf you live in CT and have not been to Bloodroot, shame on you. I could not recommend it enough. They were doing global conscious cooking long before the internet was born. This consciousness has been part of their DNA from the beginning. The bottom line is the food is delicious and that is what counts most in a dining experience. If you want to go and haven't been, message me and I will hold you hand and take you there.

my 1st time visiting I am not a vegetarian but I love vegetables ..Its a casual atmosphere it's very warm inviting there's also a bookstore and kitty cats to greet you at the door I will definitely be back

This restaurant is 40 years old. Started by a group of out lesbians in the 70’s. Great go to for gay friendly atmosphere, Hip, and non-hip, vegetarian and vegan.
