It is very close to my home, have a big parking lot, if you ever want to donate blood, this is the place, plus the staffs here are great too.
Calm environment while awaiting donation with plenty of reading materials or television if you like. Snacks and beverages provided afterwards.
New appointment system makes it impossible to donate blood easily. You have to schedule weeks in advance, nobody answers the phone at the facility if you're running late. In my case I was given the wrong day for my appointment. I had to cross town, because there's no facility near me, only to find out my appointment was the following day. They would not take me in for a donation despite me being in their facility. The "greeter" is a security guard. Their hours are limited. I've left three messages over the past 2 months inquiring if/how I can donate blood and I've never received a response. For a center that's trying to save lives, they're not doing a very good job.
