RecommendedI recently donated my plasma since i have recovered from covid. I have never donated before because everyone who knows me...knows i am TERRIFIED of needles, i cannot stand the sight of blood, and even talking about it makes me nauseous. Lol. Erica was absolutely AMAZING!!! She made the process for me easier than i could have ever imagined. She was compassionate, patient and dealt with my fear with ultimate kindness. I believe i couldn’t have done it without her. Thank you Erica! You are an angel ❤️
I had never donated blood before, and Blood Bank of Alaska was incredible in helping me ease the transition into becoming a donor! Erica was AMAZINGLY helpful in explaining to me the entire process, and made it completely pain free! Had a wonderful experience here! Super helpful, friendly, and professional staff. In and out in under an hour! If you can, get Michael to draw your blood. He’ll keep you distracted, make you laugh and make your visit enjoyable. He even gave me a little bow for my bandage 🎀

Great people, and the goodies I get with the points I earn are cool too. I'm shooting for 5 gallons. B+ donors are the coolest! Taylor (Tyler?) Wilson poked my finger then said I had "low Hematocrit." I think it was an underhanded insult :P j/k Needles make me nervous but they are very professional there and last time I didn't even know I'd been stuck. :)
