This apartment building seemed nice the first year, rates will be increased after the lease is up, construction is awful and constant street closures will drive you crazy. They tried giving us a half of a parking spot in the garage calling it a “compact space” it wasn’t bigger than a motorcycle spot. Racism is the biggest problem, although you can’t tell because it comes from the leasing staff employees who are not white. Drunk people are loud and obnoxious in and out of the elevator at all hours especially on Wednesday even... read more

Block 17 is optimally located right next to a park and in a “clean” part of the Pearl. If you can get an apartment with a view, a parking space, and a decent leasing agreement it’s pretty nice. If you can’t get all of the above, look elsewhere as it will be a yearly struggle fighting rate increases while newer tenants get the good deals. Also the area has been under constant construction for years with reduced parking, closed roads, noise, nails/screws on the roadway and the loss of pleasant neighborhood vibes.

I lived here for 2 years and it was the best apartment I ever lived in. Many great memories here and only left because I was relocated out of portland. Maintenance team was friendly and responsive. Staff was always available when needed. Secure, safe and a great place to live.

I’ve been living at Block 17 for about five months now, and it’s been a great experience! From the start, Jasmine was incredibly welcoming and helpful—she made the entire move-in process smooth and stress-free, and helped me find a place I’m happy to call home. I really enjoy the amenities here such as the gym and a stunning view from the rooftop. The weekly and monthly events add such a fun sense of community. Everyone I’ve met has been friendly and respectful, which makes living here even better. Plus, there are plenty of ... read more

I've only lived here approximately 5 weeks and my neighbors here suck, and the people who live in these units also discriminate a lot based on people's appearances. By their race; color of skin, hair and eyes (if tattoos are on skin awell). There's a lot of racism and discrimination. Makes me want to move back to my old property, yet other then that some of staff are very understanding and helpful.
