It smells in the hallways, the cleaners they use to cover up the mildew are so overpowering. I thought this would be a nice place to live and at first it seemed like it would be ok and staff was nice events were great - Then staff changed everyone is surly and rude to my guests and the events are flops now that nobody wants to go to. I write this to say don't make the mistake I did in renting here, NV is similarly priced and nicer so is ASA or the Wyatt.
Lived here for little over a year and really enjoy it. The staff here really make it all worth it. Consistent community events and happy hours. Would recommend if you’re looking into moving into the Pearl. 🤌 Edit: Over the last year, management and most of the staff has changed. The current staff comes off rude and lazy(hardly in office). Community events went down hill. This apartment building seemed nice the first year, rates will be increased after the lease is up, construction is awful and constant street closures will drive you crazy. They tried giving us a half of a parking spot in the garage calling it a “compact space” it wasn’t bigger than a motorcycle spot. Racism is the biggest problem, although you can’t tell because it comes from the leasing staff employees who are not white. Block 17 is optimally located right next to a park and in a “clean” part of the Pearl. If you can get an apartment with a view, a parking space, and a decent leasing agreement it’s pretty nice. If you can’t get all of the above, look elsewhere as it will be a yearly struggle fighting rate increases while newer tenants get the good deals. Also the area has been under constant construction for years with reduced parking, closed roads, noise, nails/screws on the roadway and the loss of pleasant neighborhood vibes.
