RecommendedMy wife and I went to Blithewold for the Smithsonian Free Museum Day. We enjoyed touring the Mansion and learning the history of the Van Wickles and the Lyons. However, the Best part of our visit was the Gardens and the Arboretum. We spent a good portion of our day walking around the grounds checking to read the plaques to see what kinds of trees and plants we were looking at. The staff and volunteers do an excellent job presenting the Property. We will definitely return!
Breath taking property and views
The Mansion and grounds are gorgeous. We bought tickets to a Sunday jazz concert and were very excited to pack a picnic and lawn chairs to enjoy music outdoors on a beautiful late summer afternoon. We were extremely disappointed to find out that this event was moved instead. We did take time to enjoy the grounds and the concert was great!
Beautiful gardens which lead all the way to the ocean. The mansion is beautiful, filled with priceless antiques. The staff are very helpful and pleasant
