I am taking care of a relative's dog while she is in a nursing home and the dog needed treatment. This dog will not allow anyone to come near him and will bite anyone who tries. I took him to the vet that my relative used and they gave me drugs to give him to try to sedate him so that they could do what he needed done and told me to come back in 1 week. Having been with Dr. Blake since we came to Florida 15 years ago and being involved in bull terrier rescue, I cannot speak more highly of Dr. Blake and his staff. His diagnoses are right on, he is compassionate, never suggests unnecessary procedures and gives straight answers. I have taken dogs to the very best vets, including The University of California at Davis, and Dr. Blake is at the top!
RecommendedI feel so blessed that Dr Blake was recommended to me by 2 different people. From the receptionist to the doctor and everyone in between was so professional and they got Roscoe in for a shot the same day! I was so very excited that they have a donation fund To help animals in need. I would recommend This veterinarian office to anyone that has a pet.

Ms. Mims. This is Dr Blake. It pains me to hear this story. I do recall your request to be seen. I want nothing more than to help EVERY patient that needs it. Unfortunately my own health has been severely compromised by COVID last fall. I have many unending Drs appointments myself for serious GI and heart issues. Echocardiograms, colonoscopies, and biopsies. Some of these procedures are scheduled last minute to accommodate the facility and or doctors involved. Dr Blake and staff are the best, we have been going to Dr Blake 15+ years and he and his staff alway give the best treatment available. He doesn’t charge an arm and a leg for his services. And always gives the best end of life service for our pets. He and his staff are passionate about what they do. Thank you Dr Blake for the work you do!
I am greatful to Dr Blakes staff. My boston terrier went missing on Monday and a gentleman brought him there took a picture and left his information in case we went looking for him.. By Wednesday morning we were reunited, my fur baby was safe and sound thanks to the great help of the gentleman and staff... Thank you all so much 😊🐶
Dr. Blake is fantastic! Always Great with both of our dogs Stormy & Thunder (and they can sometimes be challenging...lol). Very knowledgeable, professional & great bedside manner. He nailed it when he said "sometimes you gotta be smarter than the dog" :) We always highly recommend him to all of our friends, and to everyone we know.
