I have been dealing with a sharp pain in my left hip for over 5 months. Nine weeks of physical therapy made no difference. My primary doctor then ordered an MRI and I was refered to Texas Orthopedic. I had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting Dr Turvey after I fell and broke my femur. I only recently moved to Texas from NYS and having surgery in unfamiliar territory worried me. That fear went away when I met Dr Turvy prior to surgery, I knew I was in good hands just by his bedside manner. I am forever grateful for Dr Turvey's amazing surgeon skills. My father had a knee replacement with this doctor and later returned with significant ongoing pain. The visit felt rushed — the physician assistant handled most of the appointment, and the doctor didn’t take time to answer his questions. When my father followed up by email, the response was short, didn’t address his concerns, and ended with a suggestion to seek a second opinion, which felt dismissive rather than helpful. Will be seeking care elsewhere going forward.
