I strongly advise anyone considering working with Blackwood Homes to think twice. From the very beginning, they have failed to honor their warranty commitments. Despite repeated follow-ups over many months, they have ignored or delayed every request to address issues that should have been covered under warranty. Blackwood fails to honor its warranties. We reported issues they haven’t addressed in more than a year and now refuse to handle. They prefer to blame their homeowners who overpaid for their shoddy new construction rather than make simple and timely repairs that are the result of their cost-cutting with cheap materials and labor. Their homes look fine until you attempt to live in them and discover fun things like your floors were never properly installed, your shower doesn’t work, and your windows aren’t properly sealed.

I purchased a home built by Blackwood Homes nearly two years ago and continue to be impressed by its quality and intentional design - it still feels brand new. Of all the homes I toured, this one stood out by a mile. The team is professional, responsive and helpful anytime I have a question. I appreciate Blackwood’s commitment to maintaining long term relationships and would recommend checking out their homes if you’re looking to buy.
