I have been going there with my family for 40 years. Just spent 4 days in Cabin 26. Stupendous views, peace, quiet and great facilities. Some of my best memories... Blackwater, no doubt about it!
Breathtaking views, killer trails! I am really looking forward to spring and a great hike! This is definitely a State Park to visit if you are in WV.
I've never been to Blackwater Falls, but it was a "favorite place" of our daughter. Generically, West Virginia has a goodly number of landscape-preserved- as-State-Parks places. They gotta lotta landscape, and the state has done well by their natural resources. (Except, of course, in coal country, but what can you do? Sue

First Class service and activities .. We stayed in a 4 BR cabin .. excellent in every way. My daughter left her purse in the cabin when we checked out and did not realize till we drove 5 hours home. They mailed it to us .. THUMBS UP! A+
