I'm the process of purchasing a house that has a backup generator installed. I know absolutely nothing about these so I called Blackout Generators for some information. I spoke with Ernest White, a guy that's as well spoken as he is knowledgeable! He not only answered my questions, he explained how the system works at I level I could understand and even gave me basics on how to operate it.
