I would not recommend Tennessee Heart & Vascular Institute. As a new patient I was referred by my Primary Care physician to see Dr. Paul Kudelko. On my initial appointment I was sent to the wrong location. Dr. Kudelko was in Gallatin that day and I was sent to Hendersonville. I understand mistakes are made, so I elected to re-schedule for another day. On my second attempt I waited an hour past my scheduled appointment time and finally walked out without seeing the doctor. She is the best Neurologist.
This is the worst office I have ever been to. Crystal Brock the nurse practicioner is the most uptight person I think I've ever met. She refused to treat me for an infection because she "wanted my body to clear it up on it's own" and another doctor finally treated it 2 months later. She wouldn't write prescriptions, and only wanted to recommend natural supplements. It took forever to get an appointment (even when I was sick). And I witnessed the receptionist being rude and unreasonable to a mentally handicapped man.
The most unimpressive staff I have ever seen in healthcare. I took almost a week to get a response concerning an out of pocket physical. When I called back to talk to the person I needed they were either at lunch, or on the phone. Way too much phone tag.
Dr. Aprill's staff is good but he's not. He's grumpy all the time and doesn't seem to care whether I was getting better or not. In fact, he criticized me for not getting better! I understand that doctor's need patients to be cooperative, but they should never treat you like an unruly child. This guy needs to be working in the morgue not the 3rd floor! I have seldom been in a doctors office with such wonderful people. From the smiling faces at the front desk, to the wonderful physician, and compassionate caring nurses, this is an absolutely wonderful facility. I will continue to trust Dr. Murphy with the care of my family and encourage you to do the same. It is hard to find healthcare professionals that truly care about the whole person and I believe that I have!
dr. allen has been my doctor almost ten years and eveything you had heard about him is true, he is one of the few doctors that cares about his patients.
