Friday night was my second visit to Blackie’s in Smithfield. We went with another couple, making it a party of four. The service was good, and the menu certainly looks appealing, but the food quality was just average and the prices are far higher than what the restaurant delivers. First time trying Blackies and unfortunately disappointed. We came in saturday night and as expected it was busy. Our server was nice and greeted us quickly and was pleasant for the entire experience. The drinks were overly sweet and unbalanced. But were the best part despite that. The food was the most disappointing, bland, unseasoned, and not worth the price. I made my first order today and unfortunately was not happy with my pizza. I ordered online through DoorDash, and when the pizza arrived it was extremely burnt. I am not sure if it was supposed to be made that way, but it honestly tasted like charcoal and left a burnt taste in my mouth that I could not get rid of.
