Blackhawk Network administers the Debit Cards sent those in the Equifax class action settlement. For exposing my personal info all I got was a $7.44. The card is quite difficult to use as you can't split payments between two separate cards. You have to buy something for the exact amount or less. You can't buy gift cards either. If you don't use the card at some point they charge you a dormant acct fee until your balance goes to zero without you knowing. As a business customer, our experience with BHN (Blackhawk Network) was highly disappointing. We escalated a legitimate issue expecting executive ownership and a commercially reasonable resolution. Instead, we were offered a 10% discount to purchase new cards. That is not remediation. It shifts responsibility back to the customer. There was no meaningful accountability or executive engagement. Do NOT buy a gift card from this company I got one for my brother and it has 6.94 on it. Because someone charge SOMEHOW somewhere in California. How does that happen with a sealed gift card. I will contact the grocery store and tell them not do to buisness with this company. This has never happened to me before
Prepaid Mastercard was activated. I went to store 10 minutes later, and the cashier said it had $6.94. It was supposed to be for face value of $50. Looked at transactions online and it shows a charge to a supercell store in California. I live in Texas. I tried to resolve the issue, but the phone number would not connect me to anyone. Please do not buy a gift card from this company. Their terms and conditions are ridiculous and designed to steal your money if you do not use your gift card in a very short period of time. Nowhere does a company take your gift card balance and make it there profit. Highly immoral and unethical.
