We came to the blackfish because we had a gift certificate, but I'm mad we didn't try it sooner! Our waiter Forest was awesome (and has the best mustache I've ever seen). The food was INCREDIBLE, big portions and so yummy! The service was fast and everyone was really nice. We will be back!!
If I could give this a negative rating I could. It's a bummer that so many people gave this place 5 stars, I wish we had gotten that experience! We came in for lunch at about 245 ordered food almost right after we sat down and got it in a pretty quick. I ordered a smoked salmon salad. It ended up being a big pile of mush, with no fresh fish at all, soggy lettuce and croutons; the "grilled peppers" were actually two little pieces of bell pepper that were completely soggy. Good and service were excellent for lunch today! Within about 5-6 minutes of ordering our food arrived fresh, hot, and tasty. Thank you for a great lunch experience
Amazing service and excellent value for the $$. Crab cocktail had to be at least a cup and a half of mostly huge chunks of crab. Presentation was wonderful, sitting in a martini glass on top of a bunch of slaw that had basically fresh squeezed lime juice as the dressing. I'm stealing that idea for our catering business if someone wants a slaw that's different. My wife had the swordfish which was really good. My husband and 3 small children stumbled upon this place after reading rave reviews on Yelp while on our camping vacation back in November. The place was full upon entering but the hostess was so warm and welcoming to us, I was afraid we were too casual and with children in-tow would be turned away but instead was treated very well. And the food, oh my god, out of this world! Awesome staff, amazing chef, love the atmosphere and the Gyotako art. The perfect package.
Great food and service. Would go there again when in Lincoln city.
