BlackFinn Blackfinn usually has pretty good food; however, the last time I was there, my sandwich was full of fatty meat. The place is usually packed though, which is a good sign. Also, it took almost an hour to get a place to sit, but the manager gave us a free appetizer to make up for it!

While the previous review may be great while they were "auditioning" for the soft opening, don't waste your time now that its in full swing. The hostesses could NOT be more incompentant, there were more the 1/2 of the dining tables empty and they were telling people there was a 20-25 minute wait for a table. When I inquired as to why there were people waiting to be seated and a slew of empty tables, there answer was they didn't want to overload the kitchen!!! I went to a "Soft opening" event at Blackfinn in Royal Oak tonight and I could not be more impressed. First, the food is AMAZING --- and at such a reasonable price. Second, the atmosphere cannot be beat. They have the best set-up for watching games, hanging out with friends, and enjoying a nice time out. This bar is exactly what Royal Oak needs!! I am so happy to have a place like this in my neighborhood!!!!!!
