One of the most well-known restaurants on the Island, Blackbeards serves a diverse clientele, and for that reason it can get very busy during the tourism/spring break season. The menu contains a tempting mix of drinks (Strawberry Daiquiri, Rum Punch), sandwiches (Yellowfin Tuna, The Pearl - a fried oyster po' boy) and other seafood dishes (Ginger Teriyaki Tuna Steak, Stuffed Shrimp). We were tourists, we had never been there before. My husband ordered a seafood platter and asked for the catfish. The waiter said "we also have a few other fish options today that aren't on the menu" and he named them off. My husband picked one of the options he listed and the waiter went on his merry way. Never ONCE did he say that it would make his plate alone twice the price! I understand other fishes cost more but don't tell a customer there are alternates without telling them the price. I was a single party and hostess called me after 35 min of waiting to set at the bar and I walked in to the bar and told by staff I was not allowed to set there and there had to be a 6ft distance and I told him the hostess had sent me there. Delicious food and there service is excellent
Amazing! Best fried oysters I have ever had, and I grew up on the gulf coast, so this girl knows her seafood. And do yourself a favor and order the Asian catfish(fried), it’s more than impressive. Great service, but show up before 7 cause the line to get in starts to build up, however this place is more than worth the wait in my opinion.

Their Pina Coladas were a perfect start to our vacation. Chicken Fried Steak was the biggest I've ever seen. The portion sizes are huge.
