I enrolled in the yoga teacher certification and was super excited to get started. I had never done something like this before and despite being nervous initially about it being completely ********* was happy to begin. The program was very straight forward letting us know ahead of time the time commitment and assignments we would need to complete. It did take quite sometime for my coursework to be evaluated and graded but I enjoyed by experience overall.
Reading other reviews I believe ****** was just beginning and needed the help of the team she has now. My Yoga Studio in ******* referred me to BPM to obtain my 200 hour YTC. ****** and her team hasnt been nothing but HELPFUL. Its taken me sometime to finish since I purchased so I lost access to the course I reached out and ****** got me the new link immediately and I had not lost my prior progress. Im finishing up the last portion which is my 15 hours and Ive been able to text ****** directly for clarity and clarification. ... read more
I was super excited at first to begin this program with ****** but knew something was off from the very beginning when it took me an hour to receive the link to the live classes on the first day. There were several days throughout the intensive where ****** didn't even show up or provide a reason or apology for not showing up. There were supposed to be other recorded videos on the ********* site but they weren't there.. just hours of black screen. The original deadline to turn everything in was December 31. I asked for an ex... read more
I have been messaging them for MONTHS with no response. I tried to view all of the links but they were broken. I was unable to access the materials necessary to complete the course. I messaged through Facebook, Instagram, and email several times and they have never helped me. I requested a refund several times after not being helped. Again, with no response. I still want my money back. I want to warn everyone not to do YTT with them. I'm surprised they are not ashamed for scamming me. According to reviews here, and WITHIN TH... read more
Wish I could give zero stars. This company is a sham! The fact that people think they are getting a yoga training is sad to me. Ashley is a scam artist and she should be held accountable. Steals other peoples information, claims as own, it's about money and nothing else, run far get away from everything this woman does! Please do not do anything associated with her or any of here companies she keeps changing names to avoid punishment. Taking advantage of POC and women to build her brand, please BEWARE!!!!!!!!

Hello this is Ashley the owner of Black Prana Yoga which owns Black Prana Magazine. According to our records you purchased out 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training August 16th of 2020. The last time that you logged into the program was September 12th 2021.You reviewed all the videos and attended the intensive. However did not turn in the required homework in order to receive your Yoga Certification. All students that review the videos and attending the intensive receive a certificate of completion. However to receive the f... read more
I learned of Ashley through an Instagram ad where she stated she wanted to register a large number yoga instructors of color. I thought that was great plus the price of the class was super cheap. Well you get what you pay for. The only thing that was easy was paying. She even allowed for payment plans. The class was unorganized, confusing and inconsistent. I was able to get through the 200 level and get registered as a yoga teacher. I already knew what to expect going in so I paid $597 in August 2020 for the 300 level yoga c... read more
Black Yoga Magazine/Yoga Blue Fitness uses their POC advertising as a way to lure in you to their 200. 300 and other YTT Courses. There is no support, no customer service options and no ability to ask questions or get help in regards to the course after paying your $500+ fees. It was a COVID scam and really feel that she DOES NOT CARE about you or you becoming a YTT.
At first, this seemed like a great option for a COVID safe 200 hour yoga teacher training. I understood that with an online program there would be no hands-on guidance and minimal one on one guidance. This, however, is not an excuse for how the program is run. I was in one of the first rounds of YTT (Spring 2020), and anticipated a few hiccups along the way. The program consisted of a 5 day intensive, required readings, and 15 hours of submitted homework. I believe that on day 2 of the intensive (I could be remembering the e... read more
I enrolled in the 200hr teacher training course earlier this year. I paid my $250 and bought the two books that were required for the course. I completed all required coursework and submitted my Youtube video link in July 2021. I received an email stating that my work was received. I have not received my certificate yet and it is October 2021. I have attempted to send multiple emails asking for help in receiving my certificate and most of these emails have come back undeliverable and the ones that did go through I have not r... read more
