Ive recently had a few experiences with the Black Prana Yoga and they have all been positive. Keep in mind this a small, rapidly growing business and its mainly being ran by one person, **************** communication may be a little slow at times. However, anytime a refund has been due for whatever reason she never hesitated. Shes proven to be a graceful and patient woman, with lots of knowledge and a love for yoga.
The opportunity to learn yoga from a woman who looks like me is priceless! Representation truly makes a difference. As I work to complete the training, I have been so enamored by the community that I also have subscribed to the membership. I am grateful for this opportunity and community.
Black Yoga Magazine has been a God send. Not only was my YTT affordable, it provided me with a community to turn to. ****** has created a program that is informative and practical with classes and workbooks on everything from building an asana through to keen insight on building your own yoga studio. It set a strong foundation for me to grow my spiritual journey in teaching others how to start/proceed with their own. Over the years, I still have access to my learning materials and have full confidence that every/any time I r... read more
Thank you for making yoga training accessible. I have been a yoga practitioner for over 20 years. My desire was to one day train to be a teacher, but the cost was out of my budget. Then I found your community. And I was able to learn so much about the various techniques, philosophy, and practice of yoga. The impact that your company has had in my life has been very positive. The live sessions we great, the self paced learning modules were clear and concise. And the requirements needed to complete my 200hr certificate, though... read more
The owner is very skilled and it is wonderful to see a person of color and a larger body shape than one normally sees in the yoga world. I enjoyed the few live trainings and wish that there had been more regularly scheduled sessions at the 200 level especially as a beginner. I was able to reach out to classmates for assistance or information a couple of times but usually the owner responded within 24 hours. Aside from those things, this virtual training is probably on par with others that use videos and being self motivated.
I took the teacher training with Black Yoga Magazine in 2020 after seeing an advertisement on Instagram. I began my teacher training with another studio, but an injury and the pandemic prevented me from continuing with them. I was so happy to find the program. It was perfect for what I needed from teacher training. The coursework was convenient to access, and I could do the course requirements at my own pace which was great since I was still dealing with an injury. I completed all of my course requirements by November of 202... read more
So grateful for accessible programming. Im still working on my essays and 15 hours, but ****** was very clear on the need to complete those things
I have appreciated my experience with Black Prana Yoga. As with any small biz, there can be a number of bumps and divots in the first several years. Its important to mitigate as much of this as possible with a supportive team and detailed process is truly the backbone of success. As someone who took her initial 200hrs through a more know and established wyte training program, to see a different perspective was eye opening, welcoming, and felt like coming home. The actual training during my 2nd 200hr TT was completely aligned... read more

It has also empowered me to embrace my potential as a teacher in service to Yoga. The enrollment at Black Prana Yoga is simple, and the materials are concise.
