If you can't keep your personal politics to yourself without harming the patrons, you don't need their support.

A black cultural experience & good healthy food! Totally relaxing vibe and great music. Must try the vegan hot sausage sandwich with the raspberry aioli sauce!

Definitely my go to spot whenever I visit New Orleans. Make sure you get the Brown Sugar Baby! It'll make your taste buds dance.

I stopped in for coffee and came out deeply inspired. BlackStar has excellent food and coffee but the community being cultivated there is even more nourishing. I can't recommend it highly enough! Thank you for extending friendship and for the amazing vegan hot sausage :-)

It'll sound cheesy but I think this is a magical place run by angels. Never been anywhere in New Orleans that EVERYONE felt instantly loved when they walk in. Great food and overflowing with character. It's a must visit!

Quaint, so welcoming and peaceful. Bakir opened shop one night just for my daughter and I to reconnect and cry. Beautiful place with beautiful spirits....
